URL Adobe on Apple

Steve Jobs called browsing the Internet on the iPad "the best Internet experience you've ever had." Really? Because right now I'm listening to Pandora, and earlier I was watching a YouTube video and playing a Flash game. Too bad I won't be able to do any of those things on an iPad since Apple are such bitches about locking all of their devices down. Don't get me wrong, I love OSX... but I hate Apple's practices as a company, and I hate most of their policies. Apparently Adobe does too.

I think the best thing Adobe could do would be to stop making software for OSX. Think about it - there's nothing that comes close to Photoshop on any platform, and InDesign has pretty much killed QuarkXpress off (Quark sucked BIG TIME). Adobe bought Macromedia and killed them, which pissed me off because I loved Freehand, but in doing so eliminated the only other graphics software threat on virtually any platform. Killing Creative Suite on OSX would hurt Apple worse than they know. Only old people and idiots think that graphic design can only be done on a Mac now - the people who actually use the tools know they exist for both platforms (but sometimes choose not to believe it). The stragglers would be forced to jump ship eventually though.

If I was Adobe I'd end it. It seems like even aside from this Apple is pissing Adobe off every other day. Why not Adobe? Shake it up a bit.
